Love From Jamie launches Jamie's Journey 2026

That this House commends the Edinburgh South West based charity Love From Jamie for its outstanding support to families bereaved by the loss of a child; notes that Love From Jamie is run by Jamie’s parents Fiona and Martin; recognises the launch of Jamie's Journey 2026, an inspiring fundraising challenge taking place across South East Scotland in memory of Jamie; further notes that participants will complete eight parkruns over eight consecutive Saturdays, covering a total of 40 kilometres, reflecting both what would have been Jamie's eighth birthday, the 40th birthday of his father, and 40 years of Beaver Scouts; further recognises the involvement and support of South East Scotland Scouts and local communities throughout the journey; applauds all those taking part, volunteering and fundraising for this important cause; acknowledges the vital financial and practical support that Love From Jamie provides to bereaved families and families dealing with a terminal diagnosis at some of the most difficult moments in their lives; and wishes everyone involved in Jamie's Journey 2026 every success in raising awareness and funds to continue the charity's compassionate and invaluable work.
