Home-Start West Berkshire’s long-serving volunteers

Early day motion 1011, tabled 21 October 2026 by Lee Dillon (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 1 member.

That this House pays tribute to Gill Foster, Lynne Taylor, Sarah New, Pat Gooch, Deirdre Carr and Erica Barker for their exceptional long-standing service to Home-Start West Berkshire; recognises their collective contribution of more than 100 years of volunteering in support of families during challenging and sometimes overwhelming periods of parenthood; praises the wider Home-Start West Berkshire team for its compassionate and empowering work through peer support groups, home-visiting guidance, fundraising events and its Baby Bank; acknowledges the importance of its confidential and reassuring approach, particularly for those in rural and isolated communities, providing a network of care and companionship that helps parents regain confidence and build stable home environments in which children can thrive; and thanks the charity’s volunteers, staff and supporters for their lasting impact on families across West Berkshire.
